Actually, we think that hieroglyphics were actually just the washing instructions for the pyramids. From our collection of ancient Egyptian and historical fancy dress, our deluxe Cat Goddess costume comprises of a slinky long length sleeveless dress which features a low cut bust line with gold trim separating a black and gold metallic fabric inset panel which runs across the midriff. The front of the dress is in a sleek black wetlook fabric with the back being in a plain black. The hemline has a jagged cut around the ankles and the dress comes with a wide gold, black and rust red metallic fabric collar. Also included is a pair of floaty drape sleeves which are attached to wide metallic gold fabric wrist cuffs and narrower armband. As an ancient deity, the goddess Bastet was usually represented as having the body of a woman and the head of a domestic cat, for bonus marks, she was the daughter of Re the sun god. To ensure that you fully look the part, this glorious costume is completed with a suitably luxurious half-face mask in black and gold.
