Horrible Histories Mary Queen of Scots Fancy Dress

Okay, straight of the bat, this is a Mary Queen of Scots costume and has nothing to do with Mary Portas, Queen of Shops! It's another from our Horrible Histories Terrifying Tudors costume collection and it's a super dress up idea for any historical re-enactment of Tudor Times. With most Scots believing that Mary had had her husband murdered, she was forced to leave Scotland. This is a useful KS2 costume role play or dress-up outfit for girls and will allow for the development of storylines covering aspects of the National Curriculum letting children gain an insight into peoples lives in different periods of time.  Our regal looking Mary Queen of Scots costume comprises of a long sleeved long, long length dress which has a high neckline created by an inset white yoke and collar finished with a white lace trim. The dress has puffed shoulders with narrow sleeves and the cuffs are again finished with white lace.  The Horrible Histories emblem is on the left sleeve.  The bodice of the dress is decorated with a large swirling leaf design in a golden brown and this runs across and down the front to the waist which is decorated with black and gold braid. The front of the skirt has a contrasting white inset panel and the black and gold braid continues downwards from the waist purely as a decorative trim. Included with the outfit is a headband on a brownish colouring which creates overall hairstyle shown in the images.
