Horrible Histories Queen Victoria Fancy Dress Costume for Girls

 

From our Horrible Histories costume collection, this is a great dress up idea for any historical re-enactment of the Victorian period.  It'll also be the outfit that attempts to dispel the myth that she actually ever said the famous words 'We are not amused".  This is a great costume idea in support of KS2 costumed role play activities allowing the development of storylines covering aspects of the National Curriculum and therefore allowing children to gain an insight into peoples lives in different periods of time. Our Queen Victoria costume comprises of a long sleeved black dress which features a high rounded neckline with a decorative white lace collar.  The dress has a billowing skirt completed with ruffled front and scalloped hemline.  Across the shoulder there is a wide attached deep purple sash which is complete with a gold seal of state. Our mournful Queen Victoria costume for girls is completed with a flowing white headpiece which is finished with a soft golden crown.
