Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year Celebrations

The Chinese calendar is based on a combination of lunar and solar movements with an extra month being inserted into the calendar every few years. This explains why Chinese New Year falls on a different date each year. Chinese New Year starts with the New Moon on the first day of the new year and ends on the full moon 15 days later. The 15th day of the new year is called the Lantern Festival, which is celebrated at night with lantern displays parades. For this year, your Chinese New Year Party should be February 16th. So join with us and celebrate the Year of the Dog with our exciting range of decorations, chinese costumes, China themed tableware and much more.
