Breast cancer is still here. It’s still tearing apart the lives of families and it’s still taking the lives of the women we love on a heartbreaking scale. So the search for a cure needs to continue and for that to happen money to fund the research programs needs to continue to be raised. Which is where 'Wear it Pink' comes in. This now annual event during autumn sees thousands dressed in pink and doing all manner of silly things in-order to raise money and awareness of the life-saving research which needs to continue until a cure is found.

International Firefighter Day is a day put aside in the calendar when we should give some thought to just how lucky we are to be protected by such brave individuals who are willing to risk their lives on a daily basis. So from us a huge vote of thanks to all the men and women involved in the service. And why not celebrate the day with some Firefighter costumes for both adults and children? Each year larger and larger groups of people join together and wear all sorts of zany hats and headwear in-order to raise cash so that the Brain Tumour Research team can continue their valuable work in gaining an understanding of this devestating problem that is the imapct of a brain tumour. Wear a Hat Day is a recent addition to the charity events calendar but it has been eaglery accpeted by an open armed public. So join them and we'll join you by donating 10p from every hat sale in March - and thats the ENTIRE month, to the cause.

With Andy Murray loosing in straight sets at Wimbledon and with the English cricket team back in the pavillion before you could say, well just about anything. And with the English football team enjoying a rest in Brasil, sure as heck didn't see many of them fighting for the Country nd it looked like they were all working on who next is going to pay them more in a week than most of us earn in a coupe of years not to mention some crafty tactics messing with Lewis Hamilton’s head which has seen his form fluctuate since, it’s not really the best early summer for English sports fans. Now it might improve but it doesn't look like it us so we're all for planning a sports themed costume party and showing them what it's all about!
