For huge collection of 50's fancy dress and costumes for women, this is our 1950's Poodle Dress costume which looks like it's come straight out of an Americana catalogue. From a time when the only poodles were those found on the skirts and blouses of teenage American girls, this is a beautiful and striking outfit comprising of a short sleeved dress featuring a black blouse top and coloured A line skirt. The black blouse has an open collar line and is shaped to the waist and the front of the blouse is decorated with a sequined poodle applique in a colour to match the skirt. The skirt, in either red or mauve, is styled in a traditional A line and the front is decorated with a black sequined poodle with a lead which snakes back to the waistband. The length of the skirt is just below knee length reflecting the style of the time. This sassy 1950's poodle dress costume is completed with a neck scarf in a colour to match the skirt and a wide black belt with an overlap clasp to the front.
