Ghostface Costumes

In the Scream movies, the main antagonist is a character referred to as Ghostface. A fictional character it first appeared on our screens as far back as 1996 and the character of Ghostface has been the lead in a series of subsequent movies.  The character was created by Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson with the iconic mask being styled on the Scream by Edvard Munch. In reality this is a rare occasion where the costume and mask existed before the film. Part of the appeal was that the character uses an easily obtainable Halloween costume to hide their identity whilst allowing others to wear a similar outfit. Ghostface often calls its targets to taunt or threaten them whilst using a voice changer to hide its true identity.
Despite change in the cast and characters the Ghostface persona remains the same throughout the Scream series, featuring a black hood and cloak with a jagged hem and a white rubber-mask resembling a ghost with a screaming expression. The character has often appeared in popular culture since its inception and is readily referenced in film and television programs making the costume even more desirable. At Karnival Costumes we’ve a range of Ghostface costumes which are suitable for all ages and both men and women. Additionally we have a range of fully licensed Scream masks and other costume accessories.
